We parked in the Eagle Rock parking lot (the second lot if you come in from Penitencia Road) since the first lot was full. There's a good number of spaces, picnic tables, and clear trail signs. We just went up the N Rim Trail which then splits into the Eagle Rock Trail, and went up to the top for the view of the valley. Pretty easy hike - the whole thing only took half an hour and that was with the time at the top admiring the view and climbing on the rock.
