Trail Description

Starting from Madrone Avenue or Crown Road, the loop can be hiked in either direction. The most popular route begins at the Dawn Falls Trailhead off Madrone Ave and heads into the redwood-filled canyon. As the trail climbs gently alongside the creek, you’ll pass ferns, mossy trees, and footbridges before reaching Dawn Falls. The waterfall is seasonal, flowing strongest after rains in winter and spring.

From the falls, connect to Southern Marin Line Fire Road and loop back via Ladybug Trail or Crown Road Trail, eventually returning to your starting point.

• Parking: Limited street parking near trailheads on Madrone Ave or Crown Rd — be respectful of neighbors
