Visit Torrey Pines Gliderport

Added by Eric Rubens

Watching the hang gliders soar over the Pacific Ocean with sweeping views up the beaches to the north and south is a great spot to see San Diego.

Park at the Torrey Pines Gliderport and walk to the railing over the cliffs. From there you can see north to Black's Beach and the Torrey Pines golf course. To the south you can see La Jolla Shores and La Jolla cove. Walk the path down to Black's Beach if you want some exercise. There is food and drinks at a concession stand at the Gliderport as well. If you're feeling adventurous schedule a gliding session for a better view!

Classic Spot to Bring Guests

I always brought my friends and family here when they came to visit me. It's a great spot to view the ocean, San Diego cliffs, and share a fun sport many people don't often see. If you have extra cash, you can pay to hang glide with a professional. Great spot to be introduced to San Diego even if you're just watching.
