Sunset Beach River Park is located off River Road in Forestville, California. The beach offers up picturesque views of the Russian River and is a great spot to end your float if starting at Steelhead Beach.

The beach is about a quarter of a mile walk from the parking area. Keep this in mind as you pack for your day. You can pull a wagon behind you with towels, snacks, etc, but for the last few steps down to the beach, you'll likely need help carrying it to ensure a smooth arrival.

The Water:

The gentle river currents provide a safe and inviting space for swimming and wading. You can bring your own paddleboard or kayak, but it will be a little bit of a long carry to launch from this location.

Dogs are permitted on leash at the beach.

There is a parking lot at the beach with paid parking. Keep in mind that this location can get very busy, especially on summer weekends. Consider taking the Regional Parks River Shuttle which runs from 9am to 6pm Memorial Day through Labor Day.
