Abundant people watching opportunities

Plenty of ways to get a workout in including swimming, volleyball courts, running, or riding a bike

There is a bike and walking path that runs along the coast. One of my favorite things to do is walk the path and look at the beach houses to the north, or head south and check out Venice Beach. Watching the skaters at the world famous skate park in Venice Beach is fun. You don’t want to miss Muscle Beach either.

Quite crowded and difficult to park depending on time of day, but such an awesome spot. Beautiful views, lots of food options, rides, and a nice place to enjoy a sunset.

The parking lots can get crowded and often times there are too many people during the high season. But, if you go off-season, and mid week, you can have the pier all to yourself. I get there by bike because there are plenty of bike paths that lead you to the pier and you don’t have to deal with the crazy parking situation or traffic to get there.

The reflections in the water are the main attraction and are great for photography. Spring, after some rain, is the best time to go as the water levels are going to be the highest!
