Description

Added by Jake Birch

A relatively easy hike offering uninterrupted views of Mount Coonowrin and Mount Beerwah.

At 253m tall, Mt Ngungun is one of the smaller Glass House Mountains. This trail is perfect for beginners but still rewards you with great views.

The trailhead starts at the Carpark located along Fullertons Rd. This is quite a popular hike so you may have to park down the road a little. The trail starts ascending quite steadily with a few rocky stairs and is well maintained.

You'll eventually reach a rocky outcrop towards the top where you'll have to scramble a little to reach the summit. The views are excellent for the effort required, especially sunsets and sunrises.

For the more adventurous there are also good rock climbing spots available on this mountain.

Hike to the Summit of Mount Ngungun Reviews

Done it multiple times. My go to hike. Beautiful and not too difficult. But it’s currently closed at the moment due to maintenance.

Very worth the hike. Great views. There are no toilets nearby.

This is an easy hike with a clearly marked trailhead to the summit. Views are incredible.
