Mossman Gorge offers a variety of activities such as exploring the river, park and swimming holes along its tracks.
Mossman gorge is a beautiful attraction located in the southern part of Daintree National Park, 80 kilometres north of the regional town of Cairns and about five kilometres from the cane-farming town of Mossman. From the car park at the Mossman Gorge Centre begin the 1.8km walk from the Centre to the gorge. Once at the Trailhead of the gorge there are a variety of attractions to choose from. Take the 0.5 KM walking trail to see the Gorge from the Mossman Gorge Lookout and take pictures of the rushing water and gorgeous rainforest. Swim in one the calmer sections of the river, or continue over the Rex Suspension Bridge and onto the Rainforest Circuit track ( a 2.4 KM roundtrip). The river and surrounding forest is gorgeous and a delight to explore. Plus on a hot day the water of the gorge is very inviting for a swim making the place a definite must see for people travelling in the Cairns/Port Douglas region!
