This easy hike in the Upper Buffalo Wilderness takes you to two picturesque waterfalls.
Although there is no official trailhead, Paige and Broadwater Hollow Falls can be accessed off of NC 2660 in Compton, Arkansas. Once on NC 2660, head straight down this rugged gravel road for approximately 2 miles. Soon you’ll reach a sharp bend to the left with a small parking area just before the bend. Park here.
Once parked, hike down the road and cross the creek. You’ll notice a small horse trail on the east side of the creek heading downstream. Soon you’ll see two massive boulders along the trail. Paige Falls is just past the boulders. Find a spot to sit and admire this picturesque 8’ waterfall pouring into its emerald pool below.
After enjoying Paige Falls, hike back uphill to find the trail. Follow the trail downstream a couple hundred yards to Broadwater Hollow Falls. This 21’ cascading waterfall flows beautifully down the creek especially after a good rain. Once you’ve had your fill, simply retrace your steps back to the parking area.
These waterfalls are best viewed in early spring during high water season or after a good rain. A 4WD is highly recommended to reach the trailhead.

Hiked here last spring and loved this little spot. The road was a bit sketchy but was totally worth it.
