Forked Mountain Falls Reviews
This nice little hike is a great reward for a long drive. I was amazed the first time I saw it. I suggest following the creek because there are other small pools with cascading water falls to see. It is a small pool so play nice and let the fly anglers finish fishing before you take a dip.

Hike the Seven Hollows Trail at Petit Jean SP
Start the trail at the marked Seven Hollows Trailhead just off of Petit Jean Mountain Road- there's a small parking lot and signage board. The path is dog-friendly, with lots of springtime stream crossings and swimming opportunities.
You can choose to take the 4-mile loop trail in either direction from the trailhead, with an additional .25-mile jaunt about 2 miles in to see a beautiful waterfa...
Cedar Falls
When I did this hike it was unbelievable. This entire valley looks like something out of a painting. If at all possible, I recommend that you plan your trip around the rain, because after a heavy rain the valley is full of waterfalls.Getting there: Cedar Falls is located in Petit Jean State Park and is about an hour outside of Russleville Arkansas. The trail begins behind the breezeway at Mathe...

Hike the Caddo Bend Trail
Located within the Lake Ouachita State Park, the Caddo Bend Trail is an wonderful 2-3 hour hike. Although promenently covered by shade the entire 4 miles, the Ouachita Lake area can be very hot in the summer and the trail should be done in the morning or late afternoon. Either way, I nice dip in the refreshing lake after your hike with cool you right off!The State Park is located off Mountain P...

Hike Hot Springs Mountain then Soak at Buckstaff Bathhouse
Start your day at the Buckstaff Bathhouse. I would recommend doing the hike first and the traditional bath experience after, but depending on the day and time of year, the bathhouse may be closed in the afternoon. You can check their hours here. After you buy a ticket and store your belongings, you will be guided to the dressing room where an attendant provides a bathsheet for you to wear and ...
