When the conditions are right and the weather starts to get warm, Arizona's beautiful cactus begin to bloom.

And there is no better place to experience this beautiful display than at Lost Dutchman State Park.

The State Park website shares that visitors can find "chuparosas, poppies, fiddle necks, globe mallow, chuparosa, brittle bush, desert evening primrose, lupine, ocotillo, chicory, scorpion weed, skeleton weed, jojoba, Mormon tea, phacelia, bluebell, and more!"

But I go for one flower the prickly pear cactus bloom.  They can range from deep orange and purple to soft yellow.  This is a photographers delight!

I love walking the Treasure Loop Trail, but you can't go wrong with any of the other trails in the park.

Location: 6109 N Apache Trail, Apache Junction, AZ 85119

Photograph Cactus Blooms at Lost Dutchman Reviews

Lost Dutchman is one of my go-to places for wildflower photos. The Superstition Mountains as a backdrop certainly don't hurt! It's never a bad experience.

There are lots of cactus in the area that produce beautiful flowers in the spring. The park has many different paths and trails to explore
