Description

This short but fun trail starts right from Roam America and takes you straight into the desert toward one of the most unique spots in Page, Arizona -- the Big Lake Sand Cave! The hike is easy to follow but don’t underestimate it, parts of the trail are soft desert sand, which can make the walk a little more challenging (and a great leg workout 😅).

Along the way, you’ll get some incredible views of red rock formations and endless desert landscapes. The best part? You end at a huge sand-filled cave that looks like something straight out of an adventure movie.

You can park for free near the Shell gas station, grab a few snacks or water, and head out. The trail is pet-friendly and perfect for exploring on foot, dirt bike, side-by-side, or even a four-wheeler. It’s also only about 9 minutes from Horseshoe Bend, so it’s an awesome quick stop if you’re exploring the area.

We loved how easy it was to go from camp at Roam to being completely surrounded by desert views 100% worth checking out before sunset! 🌅
