The campground is well maintained with lots of amenities. Many hiking trails to choose from in the area. Preferred season is late fall to early spring.

The Peralta trail in the Superstitons is one of the most popular trails and for good reason. My favorite time to hike this trail is in the winter and early spring. During the wetter seasons, you can find waterfalls and flowing water along the trail

The site I chose was more secluded than most as it had a lot of trees and bushes surrounding it. This was great for privacy however it was also as area frequented by fox. There was one sleeping nest to my text at night. Just be sure to store your food properly

The campground is popular for boaters and those who want to spend the day swimming in the lake. The campground is wide open with nothing really there for shade, which can be brutal in the Arizona summers.

Copper canyon is a popular place for boaters to meet up and party. The cliffs in this area are great for jumping. Just be sure to leave your valuables behind as many people lose items here. I've seen divers come up with all sorts of things from below the cliffs.

Navajo Falls are the first falls you will encounter on your way to camp from the village. It's tucked back a little ways off the trail and it is absolutely gorgeous.

The hike down to Beaver falls is so much fun. There are actually two routes, the wet route and the dry route. I always try to take one route there and the other route back.

The climb down Mooney Falls is fun and exciting. The tunnels and chains made it feel like I was in the Goonies Movie and that there would be a pirate ship at the bottom. Very cool spot.

This waterfall is not as well known as all of the other major falls along Havasu Creek so there are generally less crowds. You can't see it from the trail so many people walk right past it. Great spot to cliff jump. It's also worth noting, that a permit is required to visit Havasupai so you can't just show up and hike. The hike to the village of Supai is 8 miles from the rim and roughly 9 miles to this waterfall.

The Carlsbad Caverns are extremely cool to see. The rock formations are magnificent. The caves can be a little cold so be sure to bring a warm jacket. Definitely recommend a visit.

Riding the street cars around new Orleans is a great way to see the city. My favorite area is the French Quarter followed by the garden district.

The falls are a great place to go for a walk, have a picnic, or shoot some photos. The park is in the city so it's easy access makes it a popular spot for visitors.

Growing up my parents would bring me here every time we went back to Minnesota for a visit. I always enjoyed looking through the exhibits then walking the trail. My favorite part was looking for the faces in the rocks and walking down by the waterfall.

Both Newport Pier and Huntington pier are great places to catch the sunset.

The Huntington Harbor is a good place to paddle. The houses along the harbor are beautiful. Paddling against the tide however can get very tiring, especially if it's a windy day.

Every time I am in the area I have to make the stop and walk out onto the Huntington Beach pier then have a bite to eat nearby. Great spot.

The lookout point over McWay Falls is a beautiful roadside attraction. It's a great spot to shoot sunset photos of the falls.

I have done this as a day hike, never camped, however I think it would be a great place to spend the night. My favorite time of the year to do this trail in the fall when the leaves change color.

This is a fun canyon hike. The trail starts of with a steep incline into the canyon. Once at the bottom, the rest of the hike will consist of boulder hopping and climbing. There are several waterfalls along this creek but the top one is the most impressive.

The waterfalls are worth the hike. They are quite impressive for being in a dry desert landscape. There are often people laying out on the rocks or playing in the pools. This trail is best hiked in the spring months

Aravaipa Canyon is actually 12.5 miles from the West Trail head to the East trail head, not 8. There is no designated trail through the canyon as you are often walking in the water. However paths on the banks will often pop up on either side of the creek. I recommend backpacking in and camping to be able to explore more of the canyon

Shoshone falls are massive and beautiful. There are many lookout decks that allow great views and photo opportunities. Worth the visit!

The view of the canyon and waterfall from this point looks like a painting. It's absolutely beautiful and worth the visit.

The Grand Prismatic Hot Spring is one of the most beautiful thermal features I have ever seen. The blue waters are surrounded by brightly colored algae. Highly recommended.
