Surprisingly stayed off of my radar (and it seems like most people's) for a long time, but this is a great spot for photographing sunset.

This was actually pretty great as a day hike. I didn't have the option to get picked up/dropped off, so I hike half of the distance before turning around. Its a great slice of the AT thats worth the visit.

Took me awhile to finally cross this hike off my list, wish I'd done it sooner. Its steep but the views are pretty incredible during early morning/early evening.

Had a great paddle around this lake. Its a wonderful spot for photos if you're looking for a nice backdrop of the rolling mountains.

Not far from plenty of food/beverage options which was great. Its a solid trail, pretty well maintained.

If you're looking to change it up from the typical mountain scene, this is a good spot for a little creative inspiration.

I was able to come here to take photographs, while my friends did their own thing. Lots of stuff for everyone involved which was nice.

Very similar to the Galapagos islands. If you're out west and have the ability to come check it out, I highly recommend it.

Spent a great afternoon here. There are plenty of places to eat, lots of people watching, and a great sunset!

Lots different angles to photograph the pier at sunset. I arrived a little early to scope things out, lots of leading lines!

This place is no joke, heavy surf. Some amazing photo opportunities, however, so bring your gear!

Came here on a Tuesday evening during a trip out this way and it was fantastic. Its great during sunset if you're looking for photography opportunities!

Came here with a couple friends to take photos and hangout. Its a great view and an even better drive.

Came here to photograph sunset, it was amazing. I brought along a telephoto lens to compress the landscape's layers and it turned out great.

We paddled this one and it was phenomenal. I'd go in the AM when its calm/little wind.

Look closely! Lots of little critters in the tidal pools. Bring a macro lens for photographing them.

This is a nice hike that I've actually done trail runs at a few times. Its a good trail, not too difficult either.

As noted, it was perfect for sunset at Buzzard Rock. Had to get moving so I couldn't make this an overnight but I'll definitely be back to do that.

This is an easygoing loop that has pretty consistent views throughout the hike. The abundance of animals/wildlife also make it a trip to remember. We had a few ponies stumble by our tent in the early morning hours... better than a bear!

The elk make this place pretty unique. There aren't many places on the east coast with elk, so its fun to come here, take in the area and see them roam (especially during the rut).

Max Patch is a summertime favorite. You can usually expect to see plenty of other campers on a clear night. Its actually a really great atmosphere if you're wanting to socialize with other like-minded folks.

Great spot not too deep in the park. I'd commit to a whole day (at a minimum early morning to noon) to really see everything. The perspective from the water on a calm day is incredible.

Plenty of space in this camping area. Bring some waders and try your hand at fly fishing for some lake trout. I didn't have too much luck, but if you have a strong cast I wouldn't be surprised if you pulled a few out of the deeper waters.

I'd recommend getting here early. The water (on calm days) is like glass and if you're lucky enough, you might just be one of the only people out on the water. That being said if you can't make it for sunrise, the lake is still an amazing place to visit.
