Bring an ultra wide angle lens. You can do some really interesting things with the angles here and explore some fascinating perspectives on the beach. All in all, its just a neat place (even if you're not a photographer) thats very accessible!

Views were so pretty I forgot I'd left the camera on top of my car. Unfortunate, but it survived the fall! Drive slow and take it all in, it's a beautiful stretch of road.

Its as incredible as everyone says, which is why there are thousands of people a day doing it too! Worth every bit, just be patient with folks as they navigate the heights.

The colors during fall are incredible and the crowds are a bit* more manageable. Offers a good opportunity to capture an alternative perspective.

Spent a couple nights here while exploring Zion. It was a fantastic, free option that I was incredibly satisfied with (especially if you can't snag a backcountry permit in Zion!).

If you're looking for unparalleled views from Angels Landing that not many have seen before, knock this one out. It takes on a completely different look in the night time.

Stopped through for this hike when I was in the area visiting a couple years back. I was looking for a short sunset hike for a photo op, and this didn't disappoint. There are some better overlooks nearby, in my opinion, but this is definitely a good one.

Ended up scoring a last minute backpacking permit to the last available campsite in Zion, and it was in the Kolob Canyon area. Funny enough, we hadn't even planned on visiting the area, but took it as a sign. I can't recommend this area of Zion highly enough. You'll avoid the big crowds, even during peak season, and its an astonishingly beautiful area.

These falls were incredible. I came here specifically for photography and it didn't disappoint. Make sure you bring some solid sandals (chaco style worked great).

DBB is an awesome brewery with awesome people. They're environmentally conscious and I love swinging through whenever possible. Highly recommend staying here for an overnight. Bring a bike, too, because the cycling in this area is phenomenal.

This is a great adventure. Its in a gorgeous part of the state with solid beer and awesome food, not to mention some amazing cycling. Checkout all the area has to offer if you're looking for an entire weekend out here!

Perfect spot for a sunset photo. Ample parking as well. I'd say come on a weekday for total freedom of angles/shot for your photos.

Absolute hit and a favorite among family and friends. The views are incredible and (although everyone takes the same photo) the photo opportunities are prime. I've even seen a couple proposals up here!

The sweeping views, wild ponies, and ample space to hike and camp make this area one of my favorites in the entire state. I've hiked or camped at Mount Rogers a few times, each very different from the last! Highly recommend stopping in Abingdon afterwards for a bite!

This is a great family-friendly activity. Been a few times and each is just as enjoyable as the last. I'll echo the author, bring a telephoto and keep a reasonable distance. They are indeed wild, and other than trying to keep them that way, I've also seen them bite/kick. Don't be that guy/gal who limps out of there!

Brave the cold and wet and take on this hike during winter. Come prepared and you'll be extremely satisfied. Makes for a very photogenic hike!

This is a must-see. The colors, textures, and wildlife are absolutely worth your time. Keep an eye out for seals that sunbathe on the icebergs! As the author mentioned, there are nearby areas that make this a perfect stopping point during a longer south coast drive.

Amazing area with unforgettable views. Highly recommend adding this to your list!

This is one of the coolest experiences (no pun intended) I came across in visiting Iceland. Everyone I've talked to absolutely loved it. You can't go wrong with either snorkeling or diving!

Honestly, you can skip this one and not have much heartburn about it. The wreckage is definitely cool, but if you're on a short trip there are more interesting sights to see/experiences to have.

Pencil in a stop at Gullfoss. Its well worth your time. The falls are really powerful. They're a sight to see during the winter months!

The color and light are other worldly. If there are clear skies, you're in for an absolute treat. During the peak hours this place can get pretty busy (tour buses and other groups tend to stop here frequently).

This was hands down the coolest waterfall we visited on our trip to Iceland. We were there completely alone just after sunrise, and although it was too icy (I was there in winter) to safely navigate my way behind the falls, I'll be back in the summer months to do so.

Getting in the water makes all the difference. Highly recommend taking advantage of this if you have the means!
