The falls are nice, but the rocks themselves are a cool find. It's also not far at all from the lodge.

This hike took it out of me but the falls are awesome. Monongahela is a photographers dream, this doesn't disappoint.

An okay hiking area, not somewhere I'd return to, however. Saw some nice camp sites though!

I can't recommend this enough. Coming back for a second round this fall for a photo mission and I'm stoked!!

Easy trail with nice views. I don't think I'd do it again, however. One and done for me!

Coming from the DC area, this was totally worth the trip. Its an extremely unique experience and super relaxing!

If you're coming in summer/warmer months, I'd highly recommend bringing along a bug net and plenty of bug spray. They can get a little relentless and you don't want it to spoil your adventure. If you time this right, however, you can get some amazing photos in the evening hours. Keep an eye out for wildlife, too, there's plenty of it.

The water here was absolutely beautiful. A little cold, but nothing you can't get used to in an area like this. It can get a bit crowded, but if you arrive a little on the early side you can usually have most of the place to yourself (minus a few divers).

This was a neat swamp. Okefenokee was a fun spot to explore, I even saw a gator! While I didn't stay the night and take advantage of the dark skies, I've heard many folks talk about the wonderful night skies here. Bring your camera along!

I'd definitely recommend this if you're in the area. Its an amazing diving or snorkel spot that has some very interesting light (for photographers) thats fun to play around with.

The swing made for an amazing photo opportunity... If I'd only Brought my camera. Definitely visit this place! Heads up though, crowds can get a bit heavy if there's a large group that arrives.

Although we really enjoyed ourselves, there were a couple other areas (cenotes, mainly) that I would have rather saved my money for. Lots of fun, nonetheless! All about what you're looking to experience.

This cave is... unreal. I truly wish I had an underwater housing for my camera at that point in time. I'm hoping to get back some day to experiment more there.

I'd definitely do this. The shoreline is beautiful and its a great opportunity to learn about Mayan history. We had a guide for this and were so glad we did!

The shade of blue in these cenotes are incredible. We actually did a number of them, including Cenote Cristal, and really enjoyed this one in particular.

Did some snorkeling here and really enjoyed ourselves. The water is crystal clear!!

These aren't quite the big ones in Tulum, but they're really cool either way. Read up on the history too!

I wanted a change of scenery from Shenandoah area so I came up here. Not too bad of a drive for a good hike.

There are some really impressive cold-weather surfers that hit these areas (seen "Under an Arctic Sky"?)! Come with your camera/long lens to capture some of the action.

Don't expect to get a big shot of the falls if you're looking to take photographs. A lot of the area around the falls is overgrown, still pretty nonetheless!

This is a great spot if you'd like to walk along the water and end up in Georgetown. Plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars nearby, along with a waterfront park area that is usually pretty crowded most times of the year.

This can be pretty overgrown during the summer season. You'll need to "scramble" over a couple rocky areas but they aren't a problem for most folks. If there has been heavy rain, you might find a few spots to be under water, so be sure to check ahead of time.

Not a bad spot for a looped run. The trail was easygoing and sure-footed. I wore my road-running shoes and found it to be okay.

Choose this trail for an evening trail run with the dog. Its a nice spot with some of wildlife (saw a few deer, standard for the area) and although during the summer it can get a little overgrown, I didn't find it to be a big problem. Don't forget to check for ticks afterwards.
