This is a less crowded part of the PCH, so even better than the rest of it in my opinion. Lots of places to pull off and soak in the view. There are some great activities/stops mentioned above I haven't been to, so I look forward to that. The drive thru tree was touristy, but fun.

I went before shuttle and reservations were required. We got there quite early and didn't have too much of a hassle with parking. Muir is a WI guy, so he has a soft spot in my heart! Beautiful park! The way the light shines through these tall, lumbering trees is something else!

I love Half Moon Bay and am so grateful someone turned me onto it. Lots of places to walk along the coast. Not terribly difficult to find free parking. Endless scenery and beautiful (but windy!) beaches!

Went on a cloudy week day in March and had a great time. Not many people, the free street parking was readily available, and the scenery was wonderful! It was cold, but we had a wonderful time. I did end up with a tick, so just be careful!

Unfortunately I have never lived in Marin County, but I sure would like to. The hiking with insane views is out of this world (that is if Karl cooperates). This is a great area with lots of exploring!

Amazing people watching. Bring a picnic, have a few drinks. If you don't bring drinks there are people selling "Adult Capri Suns" and coconut drinks! There are even people offering massages. Such a fun park with insane views!

Easy beach to spend time at. Great location, so if you are only in town for a day or so, hit up this beach followed by the other activites close by like Land's End Hike. Like the description says, avoid north part of the beach if you don't want to see nude folks.

Great hike, done it several times. Have seen whales while on the trail! Outstanding views and easy path to follow. Wonderful hike!!

Like others have said, work this into your Land's End hike. Super cool history and great location. Definitely worth a stop in San Francisco.

I am not a runner, but this was a nice hike. Awesome views and a great workout. Not many people either!

Nice views, good workout, and was pretty uncrowded! Parking wasn't terrible either! All bonuses for any California adventure! Lots of it is exposed, so bring lots of water and sunscreen!

This was a challenging hike. Great views. Hearing and seeing the cows made it more fun. I feel like it's a very iconic East Bay area hike, so I am very glad I did it. Bring layers and plenty of water. Get started early. Lots of hikers. Parking can be a pain, pay close attention to signs as they love to ticket people around here.

Worth a stop. We were fortunate to stay right here, so walked over from our little cabin and explored. Not crowded and fun to check out. Stopped at the conveniently located grocery store too!

We were here on a colder day with huge gusty winds, but still had a great time. It's gorgeous and there were only about 5 people and the beach is huge, so it was very calming and quiet. Sat and watched the waves for a long time. There are bathrooms here too FYI.

We only had to contend with about 10 other people when we were there. I just had my iphone and still got some pretty pictures. Didn't get anything crazy beautiful with lighting, but it was worth it and a pretty sight to see!

This hike has it all! Wildlife (we saw elk and a wolf), breathtaking cliffs, beautiful trees, and the impressive ocean. Did it on 12/24 and had an incredible time. It is long (I was wearing older hiking boots and felt it in my feet), but so worth it! Would be quite hot during summer as there's not much shade, especially towards the end.

One of the best skylines in my opinion! So beautiful. Yea, it's crowded, but not so bad you can't find parking and you butt elbows with people. Like most things, go during the week! Great sunset spot! Enjoy!

Loved this hike! Stunning views of mountains and the sea! Glad I wore hiking boots because of the beautiful red dirt of Hawaii (otherwise it would stain your shoes) and the terrain! Easy to get lost.

We did this on our honeymoon and I cannot wait to sail with Captain Andy again someday! We had a blast. Crew was fun and obviously the views are what makes this adventure so special. We ended the night covered in salt from the waves and will never forget this special day/night! I would do this again in a heartbeat! My husband and I are both people who get seasick, so we were loaded up with ginger and dramamine and did pretty well. Sit strategically in the boat (I think the front is better). My sister also took this cruise at one point and I know she was quite ill the entire time. So just be careful and be prepared!

My husband loved Anini! We went here several times during our trip. He snorkeled around quite a bit and we swam everytime we were there. There were always a lot of people, but it was never overhwhelming like it often is at CA beaches.

This was my favorite beach on our trip to Kauai. Unfortunately I had not discovered snorkeling yet, but look forward to snorkeling here some day! We walked down the beach quite a ways, so enjoyed the peace and quiet away from other people. We also got to watch surfers for several hours. Beautiful setting.

We saw a double rainbow when we were here. It was quiet and there were less than 10 people there for the several hours we laid out.

Off the beaten path is a very true statement. I loved the privacy and serenity on this beach. My husband did not enjoy driving us here in our rental car (sedan of some type)! In fact, he felt uncomfortable and like we would damage the car, but we took our time and I am glad we made it! It was a beautiful and peaceful beach. We did not swim, just hung out on the beach and walked around a lot. Would have been much easier in a 4x4 vehicle! Risky in a rental.

Enjoyed this hike! Insane views, easy parking since it's in the middle of a neighborhood. We encountered like 2 other people! It was great!
