Easy parking access, and site contains a little cafe and bathrooms. There are a few jaunting carts with horses at the start for those that don’t want to go on foot. We did it as a run, nice views, relatively ucrowded, saw some cyclists along the way - a great place to run or bike as there is very limited vehicle access.

Lots of parking, beach is accessed by a verryyyy long and steep paved staircase. Cute benches and sheep friends along the way. The beach itself is magical.

Beautiful day, was uncrowded as we went during the off season (march), heard it can get busy during spring and summer months. Lots of exploring to do if you’re willing to hike a bit and aren’t afraid of heights.

Rainy + windy at the top, beautiful if you don’t mind being a little wet and cold. Trails were well maintained and easy to access. Parking lot at the bottom but no bathrooms.

Did the lower part as a 6mi out and back trail run. Hardly saw anyone, very muddy, but pretty! Great trail running spot. Parking is easy.

Good spot to hangout if you survive the paddle.

Beautiful walk / run / drive. Iconic views, access to bathrooms, picnic tables, and other facilities as well.

Great 1 night backpacking trip. Sunset on Mt. Baker was epic.

Great spot to spend the day. Perfect for trail running or hiking. Not too challenging and very nice views. Also dog friendly!

Did this as a trail half marathon (loop not out and back), very steep, very pretty, lots of back packers and hikers on the main route up. I preferred the route that goes up the Snowdon Ranger Path. Can get windy / rainy at the top.

Another beaut on the Isle of Skye, and also very crowded. Most people were turning around at the lookout, so less busy the higher up you get. Also seemed to be some kind of trail renovation going on so we did spend a good bit of it going straight up a very steep and boggy hill, sans trail. Very nice views, and so many sheep.

Very busy spot, luckily we got an early start. Parking lot completely full by the time we got down. The views were definitely worth the hype, but expect to be seeing them with A LOT of new friends.

Awesome spot, totally uncrowded. The trail wasn’t very well marked (could be because we attempted it from an alternate starting point), but there were certainly “fairy pools” along the entire route we took. Very boggy, I’d suggest waterproof shoes.

Nice paddle boarding spot, pretty cool when you make your way into the banyans further into the stream. Cool and shaded. You can take off from under the bridge, or walk down the beach to the other outlet. Don’t get leptospirosis.

Another review said wrong location, I’m pretty sure they just didn’t go far enough. Waimea Falls park itself is beautiful, and you’ll get to see many native plants, and some native Hawaiian cultural sites. If you walk far enough into the valley, you will reach Waimea Falls. The falls are often crowded and require a life jacket, so I usually go to experience the rest of the park. They also offer volunteer opportunities, which allow you to explore the park, as well as tours and other activities. There is a restaurant, and several other features within the park.

Great for the family. Lots of shallow pools for kids to explore (my 6 and 4 year old nieces won’t get out of the water here). Parking can be tough, but the snorkeling is well worth it. Avoid holiday weekends and you should be alright! Also has bathrooms and showers, and is across the street from foodland.

Beautiful, flat, and very exposed. Bring water and be prepared for the heat. It’s usually less crowded at the point, and you’ll often see wildlife (dolphins, rays, monk seals, and sometimes wales). If you come across a monk seal, keep your distance.

This beach is often very crowded, so much so that they are re-routing the road due to traffic congestion. If you want to see turtles, there are definitely better places to do it. That being said, it is a beautiful beach - if you go please keep your distance and be respectful of the locals (turtles).

Located about 5 mi outside of Hale’iwa town, ample parking on side of road. The first ~3.5mi are up Mokule’ia Forest Reserve access road, and you’ll pass through several green gates on your way to the top. You’ll also meet several cows and maybe a few horses if you’re lucky. At the top of the VERY steep paved road, you’ll find a campground (only accesible by 4x4 vehicle from the West side w/ permit, or hike in). From here, there are several trails and dirt roads to take. It can get muddy during the rainy season so check the weather / be prepared to get muddy. Bring plenty of sunscreen and water / hydration pack, the first several miles are completely exposed and the tarmac can get hot. Great trail running routes at the top as well!
