This is my favorite place to rig a rope up at the top and rappel over the falls. Cold water!

Great place to camp and dune dive!

There's a great rock climbing wall just off the road here

The View is incredible...as is the volume of tourists present!

I've done this hike twice now, and both times were incredible. We camped in the bottom of the canyon, and hiked through the stream the whole time. There's an awesome swimming hole off to one side in one place, and there are clean springs you can drink from!

We went on a Saturday Morning, and it was incredibly packed, especially at the entrance. All in all, it was really neat. Bring a jacket and extra flashlights!

There are lots of really neat places to climb along the cliffs of the river. The water was chilly, but really not too bad. I just climbed barefoot so I didn't risk ruining my climbing shoes. Great spot!

As mentioned, the second half of the hike is really pretty. The day we went, an ASU Frat also showed up, and kind of spoiled it for us. Lots of drinking and partying, with 100+ people at the swimming hole. If you go, go early in the morning or during the week!

We barely made it there in our Honda Civic. Long road when you have to dodge every bump! There were plenty of other passenger cars there though. There are plenty of side chutes that drop into the creek, but the best one has a big rock cliff to jump off of, and a really fun Rope Swing.

The hike wasn't very strenuous, but it ended up taking a lot longer than I'd anticipated. We ran into an Arizona Black Rattlesnake on the trail as well! Next time, I'll probably just do the Horton Springs Trail instead of adding on the Derrick/Highline connection

We did this one week before the flash flood came through, and it was a really neat hike with lots of wading and swimming. Needless to say, don't go if there's rain forecast anywhere in the vicinity.

From the top of the Praying Monk, you can see everything! The multi-pitch climbs up are a little chossy, but not as bad as other areas. Watch out for bees, and don't do it in the summer! I want to go do it at night sometime.
