Time of year matters

Hiked this route a week before November and found myself in snow from about 1/2 below the tree line all the way to the top. Check the snow reports before going and be prepared. The mailbox was still poking out above the snow though.

Run it!

This is a great spot for some hill training with amazing scenery. Running is tough the way out but coming back you have to hill to help propel those tired legs. Just make sure to stay in control as to not hurt your knees on the way down. I did this a few times in June before the sun crested the canyon ridges and had shade for all but the last 3/4 of a mile.
