We arrived at 8am and there were a lot of people. Would recommend arriving even earlier. The trail got pretty dusty with lots of hikers kicking up the dirt. Overall has pretty good views of san diego

The trails around arashiyama bamboo forest are beautiful. The fall foliage near the shrine was perfect for pictures. It was pretty cold in this area as the bamboo blocks most of the sunlight. Would definitely recommend taking the Hozugawa river boat ride that ends at arashiyama.

Fun little adventure! Climbing through was super fun, but it was a very short experience. A lot of the side canyons were closed due to erosion (even though the weather has been quite dry). Parking was tough, but a couple blocks away there was ample parking.

Cute place to walk around. It was easier for us to park at the parking lot of the Caltrans building across the street and then walk over. That parking lot is available to everyone in the evenings and on weekends. We saw many cars circling old town looking for parking.

The tidepools are so great. If you time it correctly, you can walk down pretty far at low tide. The visitor center is also really cool, there are documentaries shown every 30 mins and it’s a good place to sit and relax.

Went here for a sunset and it was so peaceful. Definitely more crowded near the gliderport but if you walk along the cliffs you should be able to find a more secluded spot. Sunset + burritos here is OP

Easily my favorite hike in san diego. The most fun is going through the slot canyons and seeing the ocean in the distance. Saw a lot of people dressed like they just thought this hike was a walk, and they ended up getting their clothes dirty/muddy. So come prepared!

Parked at the aquarium parking lot and walked up to find the swings. Unfortunately they were gone. Still some nice views but sad that the swings are no longer there

Fun little bridge hidden in san diego

Can be super foggy even in the summer but s great place to see otters!! They’re always floating in the bay and so cute

Super fun waterfall and little pool! Very easy hike through a wooded forest and lots of rocks to scramble on.

Great spot to watch the sunset for date night. Can get a little crowded on summer weekends but sunset cliffs is big enough where you can walk around and explore a bit

Good beach for watching the sunset. Lots of dogs running around, some owners are not diligent about keeping untrained dogs on leash. Other than that it’s fun to stand back and watch the dogs run around

Good easy set of trails. Lots of families/kids on this trail as it’s not as far up the hill as the other trails

If you dont want to pay for parking you can park along N torrey pines road and walk a little farther. Or you can park in the neighborhoods by carmel valley road. Overall great trail that leads to the ocean :)
