Big Thicket - Turkey Creek Trail

The Sundew Trail is a 0.9 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Warren, Texas that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking and is best used from September until May.

Park in the circle in the Boykin Springs Recreation Area (see map) to access the trail. This is a dog-friendly trail that doesn't get crowded.

This hike is enjoyable for anyone. The trails are open for use year round and are shared by hikers, mountain bikers, and trail runners. Parking is available off of Nature Center Rd. Avoid after heavy rains as trails may be damaged due to flooding. 

The Four Notch Loop is a relaxing ~10 mile hike just north of Houston.
