Explore the Supertree Grove

The Supertree Grove is a free park located in the center of the Gardens By the Bay. Comprised of 12 total trees, each of which stand 80 to 165 feet tall, this grove is a must see in Singapore.

To get here, take the MRT subway to the 'Bayfront' station. You'll head north towards the Marina Bay Sands hotel and then cross a bridge over to the gardens. In total its a 10-15 minute walk from the station to the center of the grove.

The grove comes alive each evening with light shows @ 7:45 and 8:45 each evening, making a spectacular area even more exhilarating for each 10 minute show. If you can visit the grove at any time of the day, strongly consider the evening. It can’t be beat. The park opens at 5am and closes at 2am, so catching a sunrise or sunset here is also a good idea.

When visiting, seek out not only the main Supertree grove, but the two additional pockets of vertical gardens located to the northeast and northwest of the main grove (the Golden Gardens & Silver Gardens respectively) . These areas are comprised of 3 trees each and considerably less trafficked. In particular, and for a great reflection photograph of the tress, plan to visit the area to the west of Silver Gardens grove. If you head toward the Marina Bay Sands from the Silver Gardens, you’ll cross a small bridge and see the reflections come into view. There is a path directly on the water where you can frame some great photos or simply sit on a bench and take it your surroundings.
