This is an absolutely stunning hike, and one of my favorite summits. From the top, you can see a huge distance into Oregon, with peaks such as mt hood standing out so sharply.

Agreed, the road is really busy with bad visibility. Makes for a pretty run but scary place when cars are whizzing by so save it for road closures like the shamrock run!

Love this trail on a cloudier day - dense but in the mornings it’s so quiet here

The trail is a quick incline through the woods and then a lazy meander around the lake. Was packed with families when I was there, hard to find a quiet spot at the lake but kids were able to climb the first part to reach the lake

It is a whole new ball game, hiking up the sand! This was exhausting, but the area is so stunning and was a great challenge

This is such an easy to access, gorgeous national park and sandboarding is the perfect way to enjoy it!

This gets the legs burning but it's really beautiful - starts wooded, then opens up to switchbacks exposed to the views of the valley

I normally prefer a more unkempt garden but the greenhouse, Lilly pads, and the variety of plants here are really amazing

I reached Durdle door as part of a longer hike along the Jurassic Coast, but this stretch and the hills after we’re astonishingly pretty. Long staircase down to the beach is daunting when you know the hills to come!

For a national park, this campground and area is so so quiet. The views are phenomenal but it is pretty trecherously steep if you try to hike down into the canyon at all - most trails just pass around the rim

Occasionally, sections of the trail get washed out - right now there is one small part where you’ll have to walk through shallow water. Hiking boots are better than running shoes for this trail!

I usually start from the Chautauqua side. Steep path but I love that ladder

I went midday in April, there was a good bit of snow left (as expected) and a lot of traffic on the trail

One of my favorite trails in the area for an easy evening walk.. great for dogs!

I did this loop with the add on of the Old Snowy Mountain, which was a great day hike with dropped packs! Loved camping in Snowgrass Flats

I've been driving between Durango and Albuquerque for years, and had heard great things about this hike. I finally detoured for it and it was worth the hype - the tent rocks are stunners but my favorite section of the trail was the slot canyon

This loop is nice because it gives overarching views of the steep canyon, but the trail remains wide and well-maintained. I saw a beautiful hawk on our walk!

This was the destination of our elementary school field trips! And I still love it today. There are so many preserved structures throughout the canyon and some uncovered pieces of the Pueblo at the furthest end of the hike.

I came to the trailhead from Lake City, which makes the driving very easy! I love the red contrasting dirt that’s so characteristic of this region and it’s former mines. A few steep summits but not too difficult to scramble!

I also have hiked this in chacos! Great spot to come out to after work/in the late afternoon (not in monsoon season)

I camped nearby and drove to this hike early - had my breakfast at said picnic table and tagged this little hike onto another nearby. Only one other couple there that morning, which was a dream!

I love this section if the river below the bridge - the water is calm and the bridge is grandiose overhead

I came here to shoot photos and build stock content on some border reporting I was doing. Great angle. Would recommend pairing any shooting with some social awareness raising about this border wall!

Great view of the waves and the activity on the beach, and parking is easy!
