The Ho Chi Minh trail in La Jolla, California is a tucked away gem among the locals. With trails taking you down to the beach and up to the mountain top, your sure to have plenty of adventure!

The best address to put into your GPS is 9883 La Jolla Farms Road, San Diego, CA. This takes you right to the trail-head. Now finding the entrance is a bit difficult, because it is a 4 foot wide gap between two houses and difficult to spot. Currently there is construction happening to the house right on the trail-head, so you can look for the green fencing to know your in the right spot!

Once you find the trail-head, walk down the fencing and hook left at the end, you will see the beach, the mountain, and the two trails. You can see the trail that heads up to the top. This is the one you want! You are going to head down the trail until you come to planks of wood in the ground. You want to go to the right, and cross the smaller plank that takes you up the mountain. Be careful getting across and up onto the trail, the sand can be slippery here. From here on out it's an easy walk up the trail to the top. Make sure to take some time to soak up the scenery! Continue to the right and walk along the trail towards the hang-gliders, you will see them coming and going above you. Don't be alarmed if they say hello to you when flying over! Keep walking for about 1/4 to 1/2 a mile until you reach a chain link gate with wooden stairs heading down the coast to your left. From here you can turn around and come back the way you came, or head down the stairs to the beach!

Remember to always be mindful of where you walk, and whats around you. Never walk towards the edge of the cliffs as they are fragile and unpredictable. Call a friend and have a blast!
