Take in one of the more beautiful and accessible places in Washington in extreme comfort. You can't go wrong with a view and a hammock!

Deception Pass is a classic spot in Washington, and luckily, very easy to get to. It features the shores of the Puget Sound with rocky beaches to toss the frisbee on, a bridge 177' above the water, and currents that speed into whirlpools below. It's truly a great spot.

From Seattle, all you have to do is make one turn. Hop on I-5 North and keep on going until you reach Burlington. From there, get on WA-20 West. After about 1 hour and 20 minutes of driving total, you'll have reached your destination. My favorite spot to go is over the bridge (make sure you take in the views as you do so). Or, you can park on the near (east) side and walk across in order to take it a bit slower. Park at the top and pay the day use fee. There are 38 miles of hiking trails in the area, so you can pick out a trail to get in some cardio beforehand. Either way, you'll have to walk down to the good spots to hammock. Instead of going all the way down to the beach, I'd recommend finding a spot on the edge of the small cliffs above to get the best views.

Pack a picnic and have fun!
