Bald Mountain is a gorgeous hike in Green Mountain National Forest.

With stunning views of the sounding lush green forests, hills, and lakes, Bald Mountain is a wonderful hike for anyone. The trail is open year round, but is best hiked from March through October. Dogs are allowed on this trail but must be kept on leash.

At just under 8 miles round trip, this is also a great workout or training hike. If you don’t want to hike the entire trail, a good turn around point is the Bennington Overlook.

Hike to Bald Mountain

This really is an underrated trail! The summit of Bald Mountain has tree cover, but if you stand on the big pile of rocks near the trail sign, you get a view over the trees. About 3.5 miles up is a view that the locals call White Rocks. This is a much better view than the summit. You can see all of Bennington, Mount Anthony, and parts of New York. Our favorite time to hike this is early fall.

Hike Mt. Greylock via Money Brook Trail

Park in the parking lot on Hopper Rd. Walk to the end of the road where you will find the Hopper Trailhead. Take the right fork. The Money Brook trail will take you to a waterfall, the Mt.
