Description

Added by George Bruce Wilson

Moe's Valley is a lesser-known climbing paradise. There are problems for all skill levels. Be prepared for your hands to get torn up a fair amount from the colored sandstone.

Moe's Valley, UT is a hidden climbing paradise found in southern Utah. It's located just minutes outside of St. George, Utah. For a long time, this world-class bouldering area stayed relatively unknown except to climbing developers and local climbers. Over the years it has grown tremendously in popularity and now has a guide book describing where all the bouldering routes are and their difficulty level.

The bouldering in Moe's is on grainy brown/orange colored sandstone that can eat your skin up pretty fast if you are not used to it. This area is perfect for day trips, the weekend warrior, even car camping for weeks. There are many boulder problems from V0(beginner) to V14(superhuman). There is no cover charge of any kind to stay there, really, as long as you keep it clean and pack out what you pack in. The local climbers every year have a bouldering competition and a trail building day to make sure there are clean and clear trails. Please stay on the trails as to not hurt any desert life.

Climbing in Moe's Valley Reviews

Amazing. Took second to figure it out, the road you continue to go on says "DEAD END." But turns into a decent dirt road. The locals were really inviting and informative. Definitely coming back next time I come through.
