Get up close and personal with Utah's most famous archGreat spot for star gazingRelatively easy hike all year round

This 3 mile round-trip hike starts at the Wolfe Ranch parking lot. Follow the cairns, or the crowds, along the trail. There is a steep section of slick rock which can be slippery when wet. The last 200 yards follow a rock ledge which opens up to a sandstone bowl where the arch sits at the edge. Walk right up to the arch to feel really small. Make sure to be courteous to others as everyone wants to get their picture taken with the arch. You can explore the area to find different perspectives of the arch. One of my favorite perspectives involves a short scramble behind the arch. If you have the patience to wait until night fall, you can enjoy some spectacular star gazing here. It's also a great place to try out some night photography and light painting!

Head back the way you came to get back to the parking lot.
