Getting to the Cecret Lake Trailhead is as easy as the trail itself. Drive up Little Cottonwood Canyon all the way to the Alta Ski Area; keep left and continue along the road and you will eventually hit a gravel road. Drive along that gravel road until you reach the Cecret Lake Trailhead sign and park in the designated parking lots. The trailhead begins to the right of the parking lot.

It is about a 1 mile trek up to the lake and you will pass under a few chairlifts along the way. The last leg of the hike is the steepest but from the bottom of it, you can see the ridge-line that the lake sits on the other side of.

There is a trail that goes entirely around the lake and there are large rock faces in which you can lay out on. There are also quite a few hammocking spots in the tree line if you get creative...but remember not to damage any trees!

Dogs are NOT allowed (it's our watershed source), nor is swimming. You can camp there, as there is a campsite (you can visit this site to reserve a spot: http://www.reserveamerica.com/camping/albion-basin/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NRSO&parkId=70226).

It's an excellent hike for all abilities! Keep it mind that this access road to the trailhead/campground is not open all year round-only in the summer!
