Just outside of Marquette, Michigan, the Harlow Lake Loop offers a variety of activity options and scenic lake views. Harlow Lake Recreation Area is close to numerous wonderful food options in the town of Marquette, and has easy parking. 

This is a gorgeous, 3.6 mile hike that is doable year round (but may require snowshoes in the winter). Bear Creek Trail via Parr Park is a 4.1 mile loop hike located near Grapevine, TX.

Benches line the trail, strategically placed at scenic viewpoints. The Forest Loop Trail is primarily used for hiking, and is best used from March to October. The trail features amazing wild flowers and is great for all skill levels.
