The namesake of this hike are the Torres- three gorgeous rock formations which feel like that stand tribute to the beauty of Patagonia. Decorated with both wildflowers, alpine lakes and wildflowers, each day is awe-inducing as you make your way through some of the most beautiful landscapes you have ever seen. The highlight is making it over John's pass to find yourself above a sea of white snow below for as far as the eye can see. Though you can see the highlights in five days on the W, the O trek brings you to the back side of the park and provides a quieter experience with more time alone on trail. Be prepared for crazy winds and some serious elevation gain, but also come prepared to stay at lovely huts with amazing food, great beer, and delightful people. This hike provides some of the best that you can find in Patagonia, and is worth every step of the journey.

Deep in the heart of Tasmania, there lies a trail that traverses landscapes unique in all the world. Hiking along boardwarks through pristine forests and along alpine lakes, the Overland provides scenery that is awe inspiring every day. Starting in Cradle Mountain and traversing epic mountains and ending in more lowland scenery, the journey of the Overland provides shifting beauty and unfamiliar charm. Add to this the bonus of seeing Australian wildlife from kangaroos and tasmanian devils to epic snakes, and this is truly a hike to remember.

Hiking through the watery wonderland of Plitvice is kind of like arriving in Avatar. Everywhere you look there are the most stunning waterfalls, many of which will take your breath away. Wooden boardwalks help you traverse the water passages and you wander along a landscape that will most likely be one of the most beautiful that you have ever seen.

What a great and iconic hike! I went in March when the weather was delightful and the flowers were in bloom. I had prearranged a tour group which made everything run really easily. Diamox is a life saver (literally) on the mountain and I highly recommend it. And though reaching Base Camp is an amazing accomplishment in itself, there is truly nothing better than hiking up Kala Patthar at sunrise to watch Evest appear from the darkness of night.

This side trip from the Anna Purna route is beyond stunning. I went in full snow cover and it was the prettiest winter wonderland I have ever witnessed. It is absolutely worth getting up for sunrise to see the sky paint itself with pinks and soft oranges as the surrounding mountain ranges come into view. Getting to witness Anna Purna from this viewpoint is something that should not be missed.

I have had the privilege to hike many beautiful hikes in my life, but to this day I do not think any compare to Skogafoss. Though the beginning of the hike starts at the gorgeous namesake waterfall (and many tourists appreciating its beauty) the truly magnificent portion happens up above. Hike the trail to the right of the falls and go over a small ladder, and you will find yourself at a rushing river decorated in countless waterfalls. Every fall is more beautiful than the last, juxtaposed against the mossy green of Iceland's barren landscape. The beauty is so majestic it is, to this day, unlike anything I have seen. Wander along the Fimmvorduhals trail as far as you would like taking in the wonder of it all.

Nothing quite takes your breath away like arriving at the rock outcropping of Looking Glass Rock. After traversing three miles with some good amount of elevation gain, you hike a short downhill before arriving at the rock face. Though it might feel like the earth is slipping beneath you, trust your shoes to hold you as you find a perfect spot to sit and take in the grandeur of your surroundings. Nothing in the region puts you directly into awe of the Blue Ridge Mountains like this hike.

This is a beautiful and easy hike which takes you to the sunning Max Patch balds- highlighting the Appalachian mountains as they surround you as far as the eye can see. Though it is a bit of a windy drive, the payoff of the view with minimal effort is worth every hair pin turn. Pro note- this is an amazing place to get married. When the flowers are blooming in the summer there truly is nothing that compares to Max Patch.
