You have to have a permit to get down to gorge floor and I def wouldn't suggest for beginners but this was amazing. You have to do an inservice before and give a Emergency contact at that time as well if this gives any indication of how intense this hike can be for some people. I thought it was great - a lot of variety - bouldering, scaling rocks, river crossings x 2, a swimming hole...bring lots of water and at least one companion as I think this would be best enjoyed with friends 😀 Also download a map of the area ahead of time and take notes of the info they give you at the inservice as rhe trail isnt really marked. It's absolutely worth it!!!

Can be lots of cloud cover due to elevation so pay attention to forecast - we got a 10 minute window of sunshine for the pics I did get
