Such a beautiful neighborhood to run in, easy to park on the main streets.

Super pretty trail! Light elevation gain, some rocks and small canyons and some shade. Super well maintained trail, wasily marked, some benches along the way. Easy access to Observatory entrance. Parking is easy in the campground. Toilets at beginning and end. Cons: Close to road, lots of flies due to some standing water and becareful some bee hives along path.

A magical central coast landscape. Easy walking path, ADA accessible, and wood planks with handrails. Along a wild stretch of cliffs and beach. This is a shorbreak beach, with some beach break rollers on the outside - for surf. Just off the 1 freeway, 10/10 must stop to take a walk or stay for a nighy (rec: Pelican Inn & Suites).

Easy trail, well marked and fairly flat. Trail is shared with mountain bikers to beware and keep an ear out for their calls. Parking along the main road is easy, and the trail is well marked. Fall colors were really pretty. Plenty of shade. A lovely easy hike.

Parking is tricky, there arent many spots near the entrances, especially when La Jolla is busy. Be willing to walk from the neighborhood. Very well maintained coastal trail! The bridge to the swing is a bit dodgy, and that cliff face is eroding, be caredul. But the views are out of this world - go when we have a big swell, the waves look amazing from up here!

Coronado Beach is very large. It can take quite a bit to get from the boardwalk to the water and the sand can be hot, be careful! However, there is a accessibilty path near dog beach, from the showers. The dunes make for a unique part of the landscape! The waves can be heavy, so be careful in the water. And, you’ll often hear/see navy aircraft coming in for landings overhead, as the base is just north of this beach. Its beautiful for sunset! A must see San Diego iconic beach.

A little longer trail at 4.8 miles and a 1200ft elevation gain, its definitely intermediate. However, the path stays pretty wide for the most part and it is nice to pause and look around. Partial shade, street parking is easy and can be fairly windy and colder at top. Also, there’s a cool winery at the next door to celebrate at the end!

Sugarloaf Trail is perfect gateway trail to Sedona. The views are spectacular and it’s super open, feels super safe. With little elevation gain and a short loop, its a relatively easy hike. A few steap rocky bits, but lots of space if people need to pass. Highly recommned doing this hike at sunrise or sunset.

A perfect trail for a slow pace, relatively flat, big trees allow for some shade along the trail and it’s well maintained. Easy parking and a big entrance is perfect for picnicing and quick access. Also, it’s pretty special to walk along the old dam ans listen to the water rush by. 10/10 recommend!
