The Best Hiking in Comfort

To access the trail, park off of Flat Rock Creek Road (see map). Trail is accessible from January to October. You can make it a partial out-and-back if you're not up for the whole 27 mile loop.

The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking, walking, and mountain biking. Directions from Kerrville, TX: Travel 3 miles southeast of Kerrville on State Highway 16 to State Highway 173 for 3 miles. The park headquarters building is on the left.

Kruetzberg Preserve Western Loop is a 1.8 mile loop hike that takes you by a river located near Boerne, TX.
