Pretty, scenic forested area ideal for an easy nature escape. Just north of Houston, this nature preserve offers a variety activities. There is a trail for mountain bikers and a trail for hikers / walkers / runners.

Preserve is right along Flintridge Dr. George Mitchel Preserve is near Hufsmith, TX. Trail is best used from March to October and is good for all skill levels.

Hike the W. Goodrich Jones State Forest: Middle Lake Trail

Trail is a 3.5 mile loop. Trail is dog friendly and accessible year-round. The trail is also open to horses, and the outer trail is extra wide.
