This hike really opens your eyes to some of the beauty this earth has to offer. From near perfect symmetry in the rock coloration to the wildlife that surrounds you, this hike is a must. Once you reach the light house, be sure to observe all the hidden trails around it, such as the one alongside the shelf-like rock structure connected to the lighthouse to get the ultimate view of the canyon. Of course with any hike we want to go everywhere it has to offer, but always proceed with extreme caution.

Entering the park at the rim (3,500 feet above sea level) after a quick drive to the start of the trail you will decend to 2,700 feet above sea level. Throughout the hike there are numerous opportunities for a picture perfect moment. Due to the canyon being 800 feet is depth, it really blocks out a large amount of light pollution, making this a great site for astrophotography as well.
