Powder ski in a beautiful valley in the heart of mountain wildlife.
Starting from the parking area of Planica, Slovenia's famous ski jumping facility, you must first come to a refuge Tamar. It's a very easy, almost flat hike which takes about 45 minutes. As it's so flat it's better to tie skies on your backpack and walk, rather then ski. This is then the last refuge you encounter. From there on you go through a light forest, which lasts for about 30 minutes.
Then the true fun begins as you arrive to the valley and foot of mountain Jalovec. We only skied up and down through the valley, but the bigger dear devils may go further, to the top of Jalovec. There things get a bit more steep and dangerous, but the views are sure worth it. The only con are the avalanches which are quite common and can become a serious threat to those skiing. So for the beginners it's better to first practice at the foot of the mountain.
