The Stars!

If you are here in the summer, this is a great place to stargaze!

A Great Place To Getaway For A Night Or Two!

I like to have a few spots to visit where I know there aren't going to be crowds. This is a good one, especially in winter.

This is an amazing expierence!

The rut in RMNP is very eventful! Hearing the bulls bugling and competing for their harem. Elk are Dangerous! They are large animals and during this time the males are pumped full of testosterone so make sure you keep your distance. During the rut the traffic in RMNP rivals the worst Los Angeles freeways.. Just keep that in mind if you think it will be a quick trip. If you are near this area during the rut do not pass up the opportunity to see this amazing event!

This is something you must experience!

The sunset from the Mount Evans road is amazing! I can't think of a better place to be when the sun drops. If you are an early riser, the sunrise is absolutely incredible!

The (Not So) Hidden Gem In Colorado!

This hike has an amazing payoff! You will gain about 1,000 feet in elevation, just keep that in mind. For me this was a long trip! I was turned away because the parking lot was full.. so I decided to drive to Rifle Falls which is an hour west of Hanging Lake. On my way home I was able to get a parking spot. Turned out to be an amazing waterfall day!

Fantastic Hike!

I hiked this trail right after a small snow storm. It is a pretty amazing place. Definitely a must do hike to experience all the San Gabriel's have to offer!

This is a great hike with lots of history!

The bridge was built in 1936! We are in a drought now, but in 1938 there was a flood that wiped out the 5 miles of road that led to the bridge(Kind of hard to imagine!). It's pretty cool when you are hiking on this trail then all of a sudden you are on asphalt! Keep an eye out for Big Horn Sheep. They are abundant in this range and pretty cool to see. There is a reason why this is a popular trail... Simply put... it's an amazing hike. The last time I did this hike, the water was high. If that is the case for you make sure you take the proper precautions at the water crossings(there are about 5). Water does not need to be deep to knock you over.

Awesome Hike! This was one of my first hikes in the San Gabriel's. I am hooked, I love this range!
