Buchkill Falls, also known as The Niagara of Pennsylvania, is a great hike for beginners and advanced hikers.

The hike begins at a wildlife exhibit where you will have to purchase tickets before entering. Most don't know this until they arrive so make sure you have extra cash on you when you arrive. If I recall, it is roughly $15 for adults.

Once you enter the grounds and start the hike, you will be given four different trail options: green, yellow, blue & red trails. Each trail has a different length and a different difficulty. The red trail is for advanced hikers or hikers that are more physically fit (what the park mentions). The yellow trail is a beginner to moderate style hike and is part of the red trail for a portion of the hike. The yellow trail is the only trail to bring you in front of the main falls which is nothing short of breathtaking.

Overall, the hike didn't take to much time. Next time I will be sure to take the red or blue trails to see what else is in the park. The yellow trail turned out to be the second shortest route on the property. Definitely recommend this park to any photographers looking to get some beautiful shots of waterfalls and to any families looking to get out and explore!

Note: there are tons of stairs as you ascend and descend on the trails to view the waterfall.
