I'm a wedding and portrait photographer who loves being friends with nature. Currently downsizing to live full-time on the road in a 1985 renovated RV with my husband and a bunch of cats.
Did this hike with my husband and a friend, it took us about 3 moving hours but we sat at the top and had lunch and took in the sights for a long while. Hike was strenuous at times but had nice break points to rest and take in a view. Definitely recommend trekking poles! It was worth every step! Would definitely do it again!

Went out here for the sunset on New Year’s Eve and there was barely anyone around. Spectacular view of cathedral rock, sunset was amazing, very short and beautiful hike back to the primitive road/parking. Bring a camera, bring a picnic! Would also be a great trail run!

Did this hike around 2:00 on New Year’s Eve, not terribly busy which is always a plus. The switchbacks to the top are rocky and fun, quick jaunt gets you to the top with incredible views great for photos! Highly recommend at sunset! Bring a headlamp for the hike down. Explore around at the top, plenty to see, perfect for a hikers picnic!
