The Rustic Canyon Loop Trail is a challenging but extremely fun hike for experienced adventurers that is driving distance from Los Angeles.

The Rustic Canyon Loop Trail features a waterfall, and the trail is open year round. Recent washouts have made the trail hard to follow in spots - if you hike the trail counter clockwise, you'll see red paint that has been used to help people stay on trail. You will cross back and forth across the creek for a while - eventually you will get to a waterfall. The waterfall has a rope to climb to the top, but you can find stairs going up to the top approximately .05-.1 miles before reaching the waterfall.

The hike is very scenic, with ocean views and scenic wildflowers and wildlife.
