This is an awesome day hike or even a short overnight backpacking trip! Just a 2 mile loop from the trailhead parking area.
From the trailhead parking lot, you have two options of how you can start this loop hike. Either way is about the same difficulty wise. The Creation Falls and Rock Bridge areas are by far the best part of this hike, and they are both next to each other, exactly half way through this 2 mile loop. I've done this trail many times in all different types of weather, and it gets more beautiful everytime i do it.
It's great for a new beginning backpack camper (either children or adults). There are ample places for a tent or a hammock, and being its so close to the car, no need to worry about anything you left behind.
In hot weather, it's nice to be able to get in the water and play close/in the waterfall, and in the fall and winter the landscape around the area is perfect for epic photography.
I spend a lot of time at Red River Gorge, and this is by far one of my favorite little trails
