Easily the best waterfall in Ohio. It's hard to get a great photo because of the surrounding structures but using the wooden walkway in your composition lends to more interesting images.

Having grown up in Ohio this is my favorite place in the state, especially in the spring when all the waterfalls are flowing. The Buckeye trail is superb and stocked full of beautiful colors in the fall.

Nighttime is my favorite to visit Delicate Arch; no crowds and incredible night skies. If you do visit at sunset be courteous to other photographers.

Pretty much my favorite hot springs in Colorado. There's nothing like it in the winter under a moonless night sky. (They don't have artificial lighting)

Easy spot to get to so it can definitely get busy, can't beat the view though! Watch out for the intense winds at the cliff's edge.

In August there can be purple wildflowers along the edge of lake that make a great foreground for photography.

Beautiful and easy spot to get to. Depending on water flow and time of year the pools could be gone or not the ideal temp. If it's nice out and a weekend this place is packed.

This is a superbly unique falls and best surrounded in full summer green.

One of my favorite hikes in the NP system!

This spot is unfortunately overrun so be courteous and alert for cars. You'll be ticketed if you're standing to far out in the road.

Parking can be an issue as it's a popular trail but it's definitely worth the hassle for the view.

This is a great trail for a run in the Grand Canyon too! Autumn or Spring are the best time for temps in the canyon.

Beautiful slot canyon outside of Zion. Watch for the occasional rockfall, lost a camera to it last year.

Or so the saying goes, I'm not so sure due to the condition of the road. I've made the trip numerous times in a stock 4runner but I'll probably be hiking from Marble next time, the road just beats you up.

FYI No dogs on this trail. I'm a dog owner but it's for good reason due to high use and narrow spots for passing. This place can be just as amazing in the winter but make sure to bring some micro-spikes.

If you're up for an adventure find a group running the 4-pass loop and join them! You'll see so many amazing things in one day and have earned the right to eat all you want that night.

Do yourself a favor and avoid the fall morning crowds at Maroon Lake by hiking up to Crater Lake. Watch out for the porcupines if you camp here or park overnight!

Ever wonder why so many people are hiking up a dirt road near the highway? It's probably one of the best short hikes in the Roaring Fork Valley.

This is one of my favorite spots for fall photography when Mt. Sopris has snow on it.

Prime spot for wildflowers in mid-July and a great location for night photography.

If you're in Portland you need to hit this spot. It's great in the morning when the forest is just starting to wake up and the sounds of nature fill the air.

Definitely give yourself plenty of time to photograph all the amazing waterfalls. I would honestly hike it different at different times of day to really see all it has to offer. FYI no dogs on this trail :(

If you don't want to backpack and you're willing to get up early enough this a great spot to hike for sunrise photography.

Dream Lake is an amazing place for sunrise if the conditions are right. The blowing wind usually keeps the lake free of snow and interesting formations and cracks in the ice make for great photography foregrounds.
