Just made the drive out to these falls, as mentioned above in the reviews Private Property/No Trespassing signs have been placed all around the pull off area. Also, loads of dirt & gravel have been dumped to block vehicle access. Personally I respect all private property boundaries so I won't be recommending this location to anyone. Unless someone can shed light on another access point for these falls??

There is a small parking fee if you're trying to reach the lighthouse by vehicle. It's well worth the charge. The views are spectacular, catching a sunset is priceless. There are other viewpoints along the coastline where the lighthouse is visible but you'll have to do just a little hiking.

This is hands down one of Oregon's most extravagant falls. Seems very fairy tail-ish & likely one that I will visit many more times.

The Mckenzie is as blue as any River I've seen and the green of the surrounding trees & moss is quite remarkable. The trail may be short but the falls are epic and make for a great pit stop when traveling the McKenzie Highway.

If you time this correctly with the weather, a morning visit during sunrise can be all time. Looking out across the cityscape and seeing a snow capped Mount Hood is priceless. Sunset isn't bad either, just sayin ;)

I've visited the lighthouse on multiple occasions but until recently not at night. Let me tell you, it was something to see with it's 8 individual beams projecting in a 360° rotation. On a good night the stars are clearly visible and if you time it right, when the moon is low, the Milky Way can been seen with the naked eye.

I live in Corvallis which is just 20 minutes from the refuge. I have spent many early mornings and evenings at Finley and seen an abundance of wildlife including deer, elk, bobcats, raccoons, copious amounts of wintering waterfowl as well as Eagles, Hawks & Falcons. This is a great little escape for anyone living around the Willamette Valley region.
