Leave a ReviewSaw Wee Kee Trail- One of the best mountain biking spots in Illinois
You wouldn't think to find a mountain biking trails in Illinois. But Saw Wee Park is just that. With several miles and loops of single track trails and sloping moguls and small hills, this is a great place to get a thrill in and get dirty. The trails are nice and maintained, but could use some more directional arrows and signs to direct riders and hikers back to the parking lots. The hills can become steep and rocky at parts, but as long as you have a good suspension, are well equipped, and have a helmet, you will be all good. Even if you don't have a bike, hiking is still a plus here.

Nature Trails
My roommate and I went to Saw Wee Kee about a week ago and were a bit skeptical when we first started the trail. It began very near to the road and followed a river before again crossing the road and leading behind a rifle range. The shotgun clamor wasn't too unsettling for a country girl like me, but it will undoubtedly be off-putting for many. We were happy to find several geocaches along the trails though and the water, flora, and fauna (though not much at the time) were quite beautiful. All in all, a recommended spot.
