This is a scenic hike that takes you from the famous battlefields of Kennesaw to the peak of both Kennesaw Mountain and Little Kennesaw Mountain. Gorgeous views of the Atlanta skyline!

The hike begins at the base of Kennesaw Mountain and quickly raises in elevation. As the trail ascends you come across switchbacks and eventually the climb begins to become a bit more rocky. Once you reach the summit, you will see the gorgeous skyline of Atlanta. You descend down Kennesaw Mountain for about 1.65 miles and then you begin the climb up Little Kennesaw Mountain. The trail then crosses through a numerous amount of famous battlefields filled with earthworks and Confederate trenches! The trail ends by exiting the woods and crossing through another field before reaching your original starting point at 10.8 miles.
