My partner and I love to travel, whether it be car camping pitching a tent or staying in our little fixer-upper camper.

Always worth stopping in on your way through, easily accessible, easy hike.

This is a great hike with double the rewards! Depending on the time of year, you can actually walk right close to the falls. Worth visiting if you're in the area!

We love this place, the outdoor pool is what deals the deal! Location is great too.

This is an awesome lake to visit. I always love seeing the remains of hand build log cabins/homes. The mosquitoes are vicious, bug spray is a must!

Semi difficult hike, but a lot of fun! Lots of boardwalks, and interesting sections! It gets quite boggy and wet in the spring, so be aware of that! Absolutely amazing wreckage, i'd encourage you to look up the history behind the crash site, it's an interesting read for sure.

If I had to recommend a waterfall to visit it would be this one. This is my all-time favourite waterfall, mainly because you can get down to the base and behind this massive waterfall. It is amazing how insignificant something can make you feel. There’s lots of room to explore and walk around at the base of the falls which is fun. The hike in is relatively long, we rode our bikes halfway and stashed them in the bush where the real hike started and walked the rest and that saved us a bunch of time. It is also a busy popular hike so I’d recommend getting there early to beat the crowds. There is also a secondary way to access these falls by going with the local rafting guides which included a hike to these falls from the river which was pretty amazing, but VERY difficult. Something to look into if you’re up for a challenge.

Nice short hike, the falls are large and loud! We like to swim at the base of the falls as the water is easily accessible beside the viewing platform, I get a kick out of being so close to where the falls crash down to the bottom.

This odd deep little body of water is a pretty nice swimming hole on a hot day. You’ll be sharing it with a lot of little fish though, you can see them from the shore, we have actually caught a couple using hotdogs as bait, catch and release of course. Yes there’s a gate that never used to be there, and yes it’s technically trespassing apparently, but that has never stopped us or anyone else as far as I know. It is a short walk to the quarry. There is next to no shade it is a completely open pit, so just be aware of that. Also be careful with walking up and around the quarry, as people have perished here in the past. Pack out what you bring in, people love to leave all sorts of rubbish here.

This is one of our favourite hikes, the hike is little challenging as there’s a couple long steep hills, but the waterfalls are spectacular, there is a big pool at the bottom of the waterfalls that is great for swimming. There are picnic tables at the waterfalls as well which is great if you pack in a lunch.

We absolutely love Hixon Falls, the only downfall to this cute hidden gem is the dirt road in is really hit or miss. I wouldn’t recommend taking a small car in there as the road is usually not maintained. I would recommend asking the locals if they know the condition of the road before taking a car in there. Anything bigger than a car would be no problem. Once at the trail head the hike itself is very short, It is almost disappointing how short it is, but the falls do make up for it they are pretty great!

The Ancient forest is amazing to say the least, we do this hike at least once a year and we have done it both in summer and winter. The forest and growth in there it’s like nothing else in the area. The waterfalls at the end are just the cherry on top. This is a wonderfully maintained hike with boardwalks and stairs. Bathrooms and picnic area at the trail head as well!

I am never a fan of taking my little car down Forest service roads, but these falls are worth it. The hike in and out is spectacular, it is no joke when they say it is like a fairytale. Its like a whole New World in there, would absolutely recommend

Nice short 2km round trip hike. The trail head is easily accessible right by the highway just out of mcbride, worth checking out if you’re in the area. We loved the shale rocks, super pretty.

It’s not cover girl, Overlander falls is super accessible being right beside highway 16. Short easy hike to the viewing platform.

A great walk\hike for just about anyone. Super family friendly, and beautiful views. Super busy and popular place, come early to beat the crowds!
