Located on UBC Vancouver campus, Wreck Beach is the only nude beach in Canada. It is a popular destination for students and the public, and is home to the best sunsets seen in Vancouver.

To get to the beach, there is a descent of approximately 500 stairs, so be cautious - going down means having to come back up! Of course, it is optional to be naked while enjoying Wreck Beach; the sunsets are beautiful regardless of whether or not you are clothed!

How to Get There

Back to Campus

Today, I made it down to Wreck Beach since graduating from UBC a few years ago. I forgot how great the sunsets are! Even though today was pretty overcast. Glad we got a break from the rain though! My dog also had a great time running around on the sand: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aZVGcft17k

Awesome For Sunsets After Class!

Not because it's a nude beach, but because you can get the best sunsets of anywhere in Vancouver here.

Take a Stroll along Oceanfront Loop

Canada / Squamish Yacht Club

Start by the Squamish Yacht Club. There is parking here, and it is also fairly close to downtown.  Follow Logger's Lane until you run into a dirt (sometimes muddy) trail.
