Distance: 7.2 miles roundtripElevation gain: 1858 ftParaglidersCity viewsEasy, short hike

Before you begin your hike, you might be greeted by paragliders on the open field by the parking lot, which by the way, is free parking to all. You then begin to head up the slightly inclined trail towards South Launch Viewpoint. This first viewpoint offers both a great view of Mt. Rainier and of groups of paragliders. Make sure to hike on a clear, sunny day in order to get the view of Rainier.

After watching people sail into the sky (which has now creeped into the top of our bucket lists), you can continue the last .25 miles up the trail to North Launch Viewpoint. Here, you finish the hike with a view of Lake Sammamish and the city views of both Issaquah and Bellevue. You can also watch as paragliders slowly begin to land unto the fields below after flying through the clouds.

Day Hike Up Poo Poo Point Reviews

Besides for the chilliness on top that we weren't expecting, it was an easy afternoon hike of just 3.5 miles. It offered two great viewpoints of both the mountains and cities, as well as having a fun time watching groups of paragliders sail off into the sky.
