Explore Four Different Swimming Holes at Moorman's River

Starting at the Moorman's River Trailhead there are four swimming holes you can hike to. 

The first option is from the parking lot you will see a little trail right behind where all the cars park. Follow this down to the river then take a right up the river. In a few hundred feet you will see a beach-like area with a metal structure. This is the location of the first swimming hole

The second option has a bit longer of a hike but there are three swimming holes. From the parking area continue to follow the road past the chain gate. You will come to another parking are and continue past the tree stumps onto the trail. In about half a mile or less you will see a very small side trail that will follow the river to your RIGHT. Take this and you will come to the first swimming hole. There is a big cliff face right beside the hole and you'll notice there are seats and tables made of rocks. Stay here or continue on. After hiking for another half mile you will come to the biggest of the three swimming holes and you can't miss it. There are big boulders you can jump off of or lay a towel out on and the surrounding mountains make for some amazing scenery while you relax. You can stay here or again keep hiking. In another mile and a half up the trail you will begin to steeply hike up a few hundred feet. You will notice a lot of little cascades to your right. You will come to the top of these cascades and see a big swimming hole at the base of the waterfall. This is the last swimming hole on the hike and I recommend hiking to this hole because it is always the least crowded/not many people know about it.
